Bio: Wes Simmons grew up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. After a successful high school career in football, baseball, and track, he went on to earn a football scholarship at Northwest Missouri State University. His college career was filled with success on the gridiron, as the Bearcats had an overall record of 73-5 with 2 NCAA Division II National Championships during his time there. Wes completed his degree in 2001 with a B.S. in education. He then stayed on board with the Northwest football program for three more seasons coaching the defensive line, linebackers, while helping to recruit the eastern part Missouri. In the spring of 2003, Wes earned his Master's degree in athletic administration. Based on these experiences, Wes is anxious to share his knowledge about the recruiting process with families all over the country.
Wes now lives in St. Joseph, Missouri with his wife Amy, daughter Andrea, and son Jason. Along with his duties as a speaker and web administrator for Dynamite Sports, Wes also serves as the Northwest Missouri Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
